Robert Fontenot bought deaccessioned pieces at auction from LACMA's collection and has upcycled them into new art. Pictured above is a banner for a current show made from a skirt. The project raises all sorts of interesting issues from Museum collections to repurposing other's artwork. Check it out here and here.
