Mermaids!

Some holiday crafting... These little ladies will be available in my Etsy store after a sale in Ventura December 3. They are made using vintage and reclaimed linens, cottons and felt and stuffed with organic wool from Santa Barbara. A little different from my usual work, but I guess I have little girls on my mind these days...

Dolls

I copied this doll from Trula Kids blog (through Lena's blog) to make a doll for my daughter and that spiraled into dolls for friend's new babies as well (pictured here.) I realized this was going to be something I would keep doing and that I needed to make my own pattern, so coming in December a new edition of mermaids will be for sale at my friend Sloan's sale in Ventura. Pictures and more info to come. (Dolls are made from linens, cottons and upcycled clothes and stuffed with natural wool batting.)

About Me

My Photo
I make things. I live in Venice, California. This blog is a place to collect interesting pictures mainly of design, art and surfing. My paintings can be found at alisonfrey.com and I often have stuff for sale on Etsy (anosila) (vintage home and dry goods).
